The Early Career Award for Public Engagement with Science established in 2010, recognizes early-career scientists and engineers who demonstrate excellence in their contribution to public engagement with science activities. For the purposes of the Award, public engagement activities are defined as the individual’s active participation in efforts to engage with the public on science- and technology-related issues and promote meaningful dialogue between science and society.

The Young Researchers Award aims to foster innovative research and discovery in biodiversity informatics by graduate students who are working with GBIF-enabled data in master’s and doctoral studies. NIDA’s international objectives include: promoting international research activities; supporting research training and exchange opportunities globally; communicating and disseminating science-based information on drug abuse and supporting international research collaboration.The Distinguished International Scientist Collaboration Award (DISCA) supports direct collaboration between American senior scientists and their colleagues from outside the United States. Objetivo:
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to provide support for highly innovative and promising intervention research designed to improve smoking cessation outcomes among socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. Specifically, this FOA is intended to stimulate research efforts aimed at the development of smoking cessation interventions that: 1) are targeted to socioeconomically disadvantaged populations, and 2) could be made scalable for broad population impact. Applicants may propose projects that develop and test novel cessation interventions with the potential to be scaled up, as well as projects that focus on enhancing the effectiveness, quality, accessibility, utilization, and cost-effectiveness of currently scaled smoking cessation interventions.

Objetivo:
The Young Investigator Innovation Grants are awarded by the AFSP Board of Directors acting on the recommendations of the Chair of the Scientific Council, and are designed to support research on suicide from a variety of disciplines including psychiatry, medicine, psychology, genetics, epidemiology, neurobiology, sociology, nursing, health services administration, social work, and many others. An additional purpose of the grant is to assist new researchers to obtain the advice, guidance and supervision of an established mentor in a selected area of suicide research.
