Objetivo: A Ashoka envolve a maior e mais poderosa rede mundial de empreendedores(as) sociais, procurando e reconhecendo os(as) principais empreendedores(as) sociais do mundo. As empreendedoras e os empreendedores sociais Ashoka defendem novas ideias que transformam os sistemas da sociedade, proporcionando benefícios e melhorando a vida de milhões de pessoas. A Ashoka identifica padrões que estão surgindo a partir de nossos(as) empreendedores(as) sociais – tipos de soluções, estratégias, áreas temáticas, etc. – que muitas vezes apontam para áreas prontas para mudanças consideráveis. Esses aprendizados provenientes da Rede de Empreendedores(as) Sociais Ashoka orientam o trabalho e os investimentos da Ashoka em iniciativas estratégicas que possibilitam que todas as pessoas sejam agentes de transformação. Ashoka procura no mundo todo pelos(as) principais empreendedores(as) sociais por meio de um processo intensivo e centrado no indivíduo, reconhecendo-os(as) para sua rede global de empreendedores(as) sociais Ashoka.

Objetivo: ITEC is a research group of KU Leuven and imec, Flanders’ high-tech research and innovation hub for nanoelectronics and digital technologies. At the Kulak campus of KU Leuven, ITEC conducts interdisciplinary research on the design, development, and evaluation of personalized and adaptive digital solutions, with applications mostly in the domain of technology-enhanced educational and training, but also in media and in health. Main research themes include: instructional design and effectiveness of complex learning (e.g., collaborative problem solving) based on theory and learning analytics data; the development of data-driven methods for effectiveness research (e.g., multilevel statistical modelling) and for personalization (e.g., psychometric and machine learning techniques as well as language technology for intelligent tutoring systems). In order to realize this, ITEC brings together researchers trained in the learning sciences, statistics, computer science, and applied linguistics, in a cooperative research lab on the Kulak campus in Kortrijk. The research group often collaborates with industry and societal partners.

Objetivo: ARVO’s Publications Grant is available to authors who need funding assistance to publish in one of our three journals: Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science (IOVS); Journal of Vision (JOV); and Translational Vision Science and Technology (TVST).
