Objetivo: Explore the properties of a novel class of high-performance materials – high-entropy ceramics. First, you will model selected materials using density functional theory (DFT) at the IoP with an eye on mechanical and optical properties for applications as ultra-hard coatings and emitter/absorber for opto-electronics.
