Objetivo: The doctoral project is focused on organic synthesis and studies of new ion-conducting polymers and electrolyte membranes. These materials are especially important in the energy systems of the future based on environmentally friendly water electrolysers, fuel cells and batteries based on hydrogen as a renewable energy carrier. The main goal is to develop new synthetic strategies and knowledge on how these materials should be molecularly tailored to combine efficient ionic conduction with mechanical and chemical stability in electrochemical energy conversion systems.
