The postdoc will be working within a project on antibiotic resistance, which is in collaboration with other groups at University of Copenhagen and the Technical University of Denmark. The aim of the project is to identify genes that enable development of resistance.

Objetivo:
The Dr. Eugene M. Seidner Student Scholarship is intended to promote the advancement of dental laser technology education and clinical research. The grant covers a year of ALD membership, ALD conference registration fees, Standard Proficiency Dental Laser Education application fees, coach-class round-trip air transportation and hotel accommodations. Upon successful presentation, an award in the form of a certificate for participation will be presented to the scholarship recipients, and each student will receive a small cash gift for first, second, and third place presentations.

Objetivo:
The Laboratory for Cytogenetics and Genome research at the Genter for Human Genetics develops tools for genome analyses. One major challenge of contemporary genome analysis is the de novo assembly of genomes. Currently, we are implementing whole genome Illumina sequencing, PacBio single molecule sequencing for de novo genome assemblies and we are exploring the use of PacBio sequencing for haplotyping.
