Objetivo: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites cooperative agreement applications for Research Projects that utilize systems biology approaches to address emerging questions in cancer initiation, progression, and treatment. CSBC Research Projects are expected to involve interdisciplinary teams of physical scientists (e.g., engineers, chemists, computer scientists, mathematicians, physicists, population scientists, statisticians, epidemiologists) and cancer researchers (e.g., cancer biologists, oncologists, pathologists and clinicians in relevant disciplines) who collaborate to advance our understanding of cancer biology and oncology. CSBC Research Projects proposed in response to this FOA must demonstrate explicit integration of experimental biology and computational modeling to test and validate novel hypotheses in cancer research.
