O programa reúne parte significativa da comunidade científica atuante nas ciências do mar em águas profundas de diversos países. A Capes recebe inscrições para duas Expedições Marítimas do IODP que vão pesquisar as proximidades do continente antártico.

Objetivo:
The Jessie Stevenson Kovalenko Medal is awarded every two years for outstanding research in the medical sciences. The Kovalenko Fund, gifted by Michael S. Kovalenko in 1949 to the National Academy of Science in memory of his wife, Jessie Stevenson Kovalenko, was specifically designed to recognize the achievements made to the medical sciences and, over the past 63 years, has honored many outstanding contributors.

The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is a private, non-profit society of distinguished scholars. Established by an Act of Congress, signed by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863, the NAS is charged with providing independent, objective advice to the nation on matters related to science and technology. The John J. Carty Award for the Advancement of Science is awarded every two years, to recognize noteworthy and distinguished accomplishments in any field of science within the National Academy of Science’s charter. The American Telephone and Telegraph Company established the Award to honor the memory of their Chief Engineer, Vice President, and general telecommunications innovator, John J. Carty. The Carty Award will be presented in 2018 in the field of economics.

Objetivo:
The Harry Ransom Center offers Research Fellowships in the Humanities to support short-term residencies for research projects that require substantial on-site use of its collections. For its 2018/2019 Fellowship Program, the Center will award ten dissertation fellowships and up to fifty postdoctoral fellowships for projects that require substantial on-site use of its collections. The Fellowships support research in all areas of the humanities, including literature, photography, film, art, the performing arts, music, and cultural history.

The International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) is organised exclusively for educational and scientific purposes. The Society’s purpose will be to advance knowledge of peritoneal dialysis and to promote advancement of such knowledge through international scientific meetings and scientific publications. The John Maher Award was established by the ISPD to honour young individuals who have contributed substantially to the field of peritoneal dialysis (PD). The award is given every two years at the ISPD Congress, to be held in Vancouver, Canada in May 2018.
