Objetivo: The AACR Outstanding Investigator Award for Breast Cancer Research, funded by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, recognizes an investigator of no more than 50 years of age whose novel and significant work has had or may have a far-reaching impact on the etiology, detection, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of breast cancer. Such work may involve any discipline across the continuum of biomedical research, including basic, translational, clinical and epidemiological studies.

Objetivo: The AACR and Eli Lilly and Company established this award in 1961 to honor Dr. G.H.A. Clowes, who was a founding member of the AACR and a research director of Eli Lilly. The Clowes Award recognizes an individual with outstanding recent accomplishments in basic cancer research. The recipient of the AACR G.H.A. Clowes Memorial Award will receive a $10,000 honorarium, give an award lecture during the AACR Annual Meeting 2020 in San Diego, California, USA, and will be given support for the winner and a guest to attend the Annual Meeting.
