Objetivo: The PKD Foundation is interested in fostering research in the areas relevant to polycystic kidney disease (PKD) with the goal of furthering our understanding of the physiological, biochemical, molecular and genetic mechanisms of this disease. This fellowship is designed to facilitate young investigators to obtain significant research experience as they initiate careers in polycystic kidney disease research. This program is intended to assure the continuity over time of outstanding investigators committed to the study of PKD.

In short, people of exceptional skill who design, plan, preserve, and critique the places where we live, work, and play are eligible to apply. The program is for people in mid-career, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field. We seek professionals who have leadership ability and who show the potential to take their capacities to higher levels. The opportunities presented by the Fellowship work best for those experienced enough to ask the hard questions, but with plenty of time left to make an impact.

Objetivo: Applicants’ research for either of the Pantzer awards must be within the field of the bibliographical or book-historical study of the printed book in the hand-press period, that is up to c.1830. Applicants should be established scholars in the field but may be university-based or independent researchers. The Pantzer Fellowship is intended to assist with both immediate research needs, such as microfilms or travelling expenses, and longer-term support, for example prolonged visits to libraries and archives.

Objetivo: Founded in 1892, the Bibliographical Society is the senior learned society dealing with the study of the book and its history. The Society offers a limited number of minor grants, of £50 to £200, for specific purposes such as the costs of travel or of microfilming for research purposes (but not for attendance at, or travel to, conferences). Applications for these minor grants may be submitted at any time and should be supported by one reference.
