Objetivo: To offer a PhD position in the University of Twente. In this project, the focus will be on the development of novel discontinuous Galerkin methods for the Maxwell equations to study the absorption of light in photovoltaic cells. This will require both the development of efficient numerical discretizations and solvers for the Maxwell equations, their implementation in highly efficient parallel solvers, and the modelling of the absorption of light in complex nanophotonic media.
