Objetivo: O solo apresenta todo um outro mundo de diversidade cuja dinâmica impacta na segurança alimentar, água, estoque de carbono e no próprio clima. Para tanto, é necessário a obtenção de dados temáticos de atributos do solo, desde a superfície até em profundidade. Deseja-se determinar a qualidade dos solos (QS) do Brasil através das geotecnologias. A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da Fapesp no valor de R$ 8.479,20 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

Objetivo: This PhD studentship aims at developing a radiation detector technology based on memristive system. This project exploits the architectonic of memristor device (small, low power, fast, and intrinsically rad-hard) to sense radiation onboard the high-altitude and space objects. The student will be trained to fabricate rad-hard memristor prototypes and investigate their electrical feedback towards harsh photon & particle radiations. The student will have the opportunity to conduct in-situ electrical testing at our collaborator’s or industry partner’s radiation facility, either in the UK or abroad. The final objective of this project is to build an application demonstrator memristor chips that will be launched to space (low earth orbit).

Objetivo: We are looking for a PhD student to join our group on a project to numerically model, design, and simulate the next generation of fibre lasers. This project will exploit computer simulations to investigate the dynamics of the generation of light in such large, few-moded or multimoded, optical fibres. We will study the interaction between the laser gain medium and the spatial distribution of the laser light, the instabilities caused by optical nonlinearities, temperature and acoustic fluctuations, and the influence of chromatic dispersion on these processes.
