Objetivo: To propose a new design concept forhigh temperature heat pumps, based on innovative refrigerants. The candidatewill have to develop a dedicated generic model, which will be able to handleboth zeotropic mixtures and supercritical operating conditions. The proposedmodel will be built around the CoolProp library. In addition to thethermodynamic model itself, an optimization framework will be defined todetermine the optimum operating conditions by varying the typical heat source andheat sink conditions and the fluid composition.

Objetivo: The School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering are seeking and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a research effort directed to the development of novel ceramic matrix composite manufacturing processes. In collaboration with other researchers working in this space, the main responsibility of this position will be the development of synthesis routs for pre-ceramic polymers to be used in polymer infiltration and pyrolysis processes.
