Objetivo: By the kind generosity of His Majesty Qaboos bin Said al Said, Sultan of Oman, the Society offers two annual Fellowships as a memorial to Sir Wilfred Thesiger. The Thesiger-Oman International Fellowships offer awards of £8,000 to post-doctoral researchers with an outstanding research proposal involving fieldwork in an arid or semi-arid environment.

Objetivo: The Hal Rothman Research Fellowship was created to recognize graduate student achievements in environmental history. The fellowship provides a single payment of $1,000 for Ph.D. graduate student research and travel in the field of environmental history, without geographical restriction. Objetivo: The Reg and Molly Buck Award is intended to support a post-doctoral research project of someone who has been awarded their doctorate up to five years previously. Objetivo: The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic supports study/research/teaching/artistic mobility of international students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers and artists at higher education institutions and research organisations. It supports two-way mobility – international scholarship holders to Slovakia, as well as Slovak scholarship holders abroad. The programme offers scholarships to cover living costs during the stay and travel allowances (all categories in case of scholarship holders from Slovakia; students and PhD students in case of international scholarship holders).
