Objetivo:
The Global Innovation Fund (GIF) is nonprofit innovation fund headquartered in London. The GIF invests in social innovations that aim to improve the lives and opportunities of millions of people in the developing world. GIF supports breakthrough solutions to global development challenges from social enterprises, for-profit firms, non-profit organisations, international organisations and researchers. The GIF Funds invests in a range of innovations with strong potential for social impact at a large scale. GIF defines ‘innovation’ broadly to include new business models, policy practices, technologies, behavioural insights, or ways of delivering products and services that benefit the poor in developing countries, any solution that has potential to address an important development problem more effectively than existing approaches. GIF is interested in innovations that enable greater social impacts to be achieved compared to current practices.

Objetivo: The International Foundation for CDKL5 Research (IFCR) aims to lead the way in finding a cure and treatments for CDKL5 disorder by funding global research efforts, and increasing awareness of CDKL5 disorder, while enhancing the quality of life for those affected by CDKL5 disorder, by providing information, programs, and services.

The IFCR Grant Program aims to fund clinical research projects to help the understand how the CDKL5 protein, and lack thereof, affects different organ systems in the human body, and then move quickly into identifying potential therapeutic interventions that will ameliorate symptoms and lead to an improved quality of life for all those affected.

Com relação ao Edital Bolsas de Produtividade em Pesquisa (PQ) e de Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e Extensão Inovadora (DT)/2017, o CNPq informa que as inscrições serão abertas, em data a ser confirmada, até o início de julho/2017.

Os recursos já estão garantidos, mas não haverá aumento no número de bolsas.

O atraso se deu por questões meramente técnicas internas (ajustes no sistema).

O Calendário de Avaliações será mantido, ou seja, o julgamento será em novembro/2017.

The DIV model begins with an open grant competition for innovative ideas, pilots and tests them using cutting-edge analytical methods, and scales solutions that demonstrate widespread impact and cost-effectiveness.
DIV provides financing at Three Stages along an innovation’s growth path.
Applicants can apply at any stage, and those who have received funding at a prior stage must compete to advance to the next stage:
Stage 1: Proof of Concept/Initial Testing;
Stage 2: Testing and Positioning for Scale;
Stage 3: Transitioning Proven Solutions to Scale.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) International Program fosters international cooperative research and the exchange of scientific information by drug abuse researchers around the globe. NIDA’s international objectives include: promoting international research activities; supporting research training and exchange opportunities globally; communicating and disseminating science-based information on drug abuse and supporting international research collaboration.The Distinguished International Scientist Collaboration Award (DISCA) supports direct collaboration between American senior scientists and their colleagues from outside the United States. The NIDA sponsors the program to advance scientific understanding of drug abuse and addiction through cooperation on new research methods and techniques; data analysis; collaborative research reports or proposals; or basic, clinical, and applied research.

The Angelman Syndrome Foundation announces biannual Calls for Research Proposals to be awarded in support of Angelman syndrome research. Highest priority will be given to pilot projects to test new ideas about pathogenesis and therapeutics of Angelman syndrome, translational research and clinical research studies. Of particular interest to the ASF are studies related to communication, behavioral issues and identification of issues and treatments that impact the daily life of people with Angelman syndrome and their families.
