Foi prorrogado o prazo para submissão de propostas ao Prêmio Fundação Péter Murányi – 2021, que em sua 20ª edição será entregue na área de Educação. Os autores dos trabalhos vencedores receberão: quantia bruta de R$ 200.000,00 (duzentos mil reais), troféu e certificado para o primeiro colocado; R$ 30.000,00 (trinta mil reais) e certificado para o segundo colocado e R$ 20.000,00 (vinte mil reais) e certificado para o terceiro colocado.

A Pró-reitoria de Pesquisa receberá até o dia 10 de junho de 2021,  inscrições para concorrer ao Prêmio.

Os trabalhos serão julgados com base na abordagem inovadora, aplicação prática com resultados que comprovem sua eficácia e melhora na qualidade da vida das populações em desenvolvimento.

Para participar, o pesquisador deve ler o edital e enviar para o e-mail propesquisador@contato.ufsc.br, os seguintes documentos, conforme item 03 do Edital:

1. “Carta de indicação do Colégio Indicador”, impressa em papel timbrado, assinada pelo dirigente da instituição indicadora e digitalizada, conforme modelo disponível aqui;
2. “Declaração de participação”, preenchida e assinada pelo autor ou representante da equipe e digitalizada, conforme modelo disponível aqui;
3. “Formulário de participação”, preenchido pelo autor ou representante da equipe, disponível aqui;
4. “PDF do Currículo Lattes (ou similar) do(s) autor(es)”;
5. “Síntese do trabalho” (em PDF), enviada em português, utilizando fonte arial 12 PT, respeitando-se o mínimo de 250 e o máximo de 800 palavras, contendo: objetivos, resultados, conclusão e aplicabilidade. Ao final da síntese deverá constar de 04 a 06 palavras-chaves.
6. “Apresentação do trabalho” (em PDF): Documento de livre formatação e conteúdo, abordando aspectos relevantes do trabalho, suas metodologias, resultados, e quaisquer informações adicionais que o autor julgar conveniente, em português, espanhol ou inglês.

A Carta de indicação do Colégio Indicador será assinada pelo reitor, por intermédio da Propesq.

Objetivo: The department of Mathematics at Royal Institute of Technology seeks applications for a Ph.D student position in Applied and Computational Mathematics for a project in Topological Data Analysis. The position is funded by the Swedish Research Council. This doctoral position aims at conducting research in mathematics related to topological data analysis understood in abroad sense (fundamental developments including probability and statistics, algorithmic approaches, etc). In particular, the project aims at defining new topological invariants that represent correlation patterns among different distances on a dataset, assessing their properties in terms of stability and discriminatory power and their statistical behaviour.

Objetivo: The division of Robots Perception and Learning, RPL, is offering a position of Post Doc within the Swedish Maritime Robotics Centre, SMaRC. There you will help lead a group of Ph.D. and Master students working on underwater robotic perception and control. There are regular trials and demos of the developed AUV systems that you will help to realize. You will also manage a code base and data repositories. The area of your research in SMaRC could be in for example SLAM, Navigation, Sonar perception, Visual SLAM, 3D reconstructions, multiagent planning, and Model Predictive Control.

In these PhD theses, the SiLago framework will be enhanced to automate synthesis of complex applications and systems for SiLago.

TMH is an internationally prominent research group within speech technology and related areas with a heritage that ranges back to the early 50s. It was one of the first research groups of its kind, and is likely the oldest that is still active. The group is in the forefront of fundamental research in areas such as speech analysis, analysis of human communicative behaviours, audiovisual synthesis and generation, speech perception and understanding, and multimodal dialogue systems.
