Objetivo: To develop a novel three-dimensional (3D) soil-structure interaction model for monopiles subjected to lateral cyclic loading in sand by means of a finite element solution using advanced soil constitutive modelling and laboratory testing. Theoretical development will include model calibration via a laboratory cyclic testing program and application to monopile-soil interaction problems including comparisons with predictions from existing models and available test data.

Objetivo: To propose a new design concept forhigh temperature heat pumps, based on innovative refrigerants. The candidatewill have to develop a dedicated generic model, which will be able to handleboth zeotropic mixtures and supercritical operating conditions. The proposedmodel will be built around the CoolProp library. In addition to thethermodynamic model itself, an optimization framework will be defined todetermine the optimum operating conditions by varying the typical heat source andheat sink conditions and the fluid composition.
