Objetivo: The ASC has had an increased emphasis on public education and awareness and understands the need to adopt early detection practices – especially for women regarding cervical cancers.  The ASC Foundation is funding a Patient Advocacy Grant that is available to ASC members, patient advocacy groups and neighboring societies. Patient Advocacy Grant ($10,000), awarded annually, is for ongoing or new projects for advocacy efforts for patients with gynecologic and other cancers, or to educate patients on the need for effective screening programs.

To this end, the Society established the Sylvia Lawry Physician Fellowship Program, named in honor of its founder. Clinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of therapies for multiple sclerosis are highly complex and require special expertise and knowledge to monitor this highly variable disease
